“It provides one of the more thorough and complete reviews of contemporary social work practice theories. I am as enthusiastic about this text today as I was when I received the manuscript of the first edition over 13 years ago. The text has only become richer and once again, Malcolm Payne has provided a stimulating contribution to our profession.”
— Stephen C. Anderson, New Mexico State University
